RPM is a print server designed for Windows platforms, supports LPD and reverse telnet; very simple to set up from any originating system. It's what RPM can do after you receive
the print job that makes us stand out. RPM is Interoperable with virtually any platform that can send a print job. RPM works with legacy systems such as
mainframes, business systems such as
iSeries (System i), with
Linux distros and
CUPS, and standard Windows TCP/IP port setups. RPM works with
Solaris,
HP3000, HP9000, etc. RPM is a bridge between legacy systems and modern platforms. RPM receives from mainframes and AS/400 systems, OpenVMS, older flavors of Unix as well as new Linux releases.
Our outputs include printing but are as diverse as:
- convert print jobs to PDF and email as an attachment
- convert print jobs to plain text or HTML and use as the message body in an email
- submit print jobs to variable data printing systems
- submit print jobs to document management systems
- onvert a PCL print job meant for an HP
printer, to PDF
That's just a sample of the things we can do and the ways RPM is routinely used.

The Solimar® Print Director™ Enterprise (SPDE) is a set of programs designed to turn your computer into a powerful enterprise output management system. SPDE runs under Windows XP Professional
or Windows 2003 Server and connects host computers to production printers that, under normal circumstances, cannot interface with each other. For example, SPDE can be used to connect midrange or mainframe hosts and networks to one or more printers and archive
systems.
SPDE allows you to print from multiple host computers to multiple printing devices simultaneously. It can also perform multiple conversion routines on each print file. By supporting combinations of inputs, outputs, and conversions, SPDE gives you a powerful
print manager that transparently connects your host systems with the production printers your company needs. As your requirements grow, you can add software modules, install additional inputs and outputs, or upgrade to take advantage of new features and capabilities.
The power of SPDE lies in its ability to interface with virtually any host or printer. Moreover, its processing control, conversion routines, and job management capabilities allow a very high degree of control over your printing
environment.
